Hard Rock Climbing's Guest Praise and Testimonials:
This past Sunday, June 15th, my friends and I had Erin as our rock climbing guide. I just want to say that we could never have asked for a better guide. She went above and beyond by not only guiding us but also by going out of her way to coach and encourage us, keeping it fun and lively all the time. I would not have made it to the top of the rock without her and I'm so proud of myself, thanks to her encouragement.
We had an awesome time with her and if and when we ever come back to Fayetteville to climb, you can be sure we will be asking for her by name!
We had a get together and shared pictures from our trip. I thought this one was a particularly good one of you. Thank you for everything you added to our experience. You and your crew made it memorable.
Today, my two sons and I spent the morning repelling and rock climbing with Kevin. We were absolute novices! Kevin's instruction was superb and he was so personable, we felt like old friends. Thanks to Kevin for giving us a new experience and fond memories of a family activity.
We can't thank you enough for the great experience we had in June on the rock. I have only been climbing once prior to coming to West Virginia, and that was at an indoor facility on a 35-40 foot wall.
Climbing outdoors reminded me of my younger days when I was about 6-10 years old. Then I would climb trees, jump from roof tops 10-12 feet high to horizontal clothes poles several feet away, praying I could grab on and swing. Occassionally that feat of jumping to the clothes pole met with some extreme consequences --- it hurt!!! But man was it exhilerating. It gave me a deep respect for heights.
What was just as exciting and incredible being in West Virginia in the New River Gorge was the view and landscape. It was breathtaking scenery. Next time I will plan to take more photos during the climb and rappelling. Stopping on my way down the side I wanted to stay longer and drink in the view of the river valley so far below. I thought about the eagles sitting in their perches cut into the walls of the cliff. The rappelling also reminded me of our son when he was about 12 years old in scouts and angel fell down the side of a 150 foot rock wall. Watching him go over the edge gave me chills. He made it just fine.
Speaking of rappelling, what an awesome job you did in talking some of our group through that. Without your help and calm confidence, they would not have been able to make it over the side. Please pass along our thanks to Mike and Kenton for their help and hard work.

Thank you so much for a great experience. Your kind and dedicated staff certainly are your greatest assets! We had a terrific time!!
Kevin, Robbie, and Will,
I had the MOST AMAZING time on our climbing trip. A good 3 or 4 times I didn’t think I was going to make it up those rocks and then I did! Thank you so much for your support. It truly shows how much you love this sport when you are guiding. I admire that in you all so much! I hope to climb again someday so thank you for teaching me something new that I really loved!!!
"This letter is to express my sincere appreciation of your adventure services and particularly your guides Ian and Kenton. Having arranged for a half day rock climbing/rappelling trip for the three of my family members and myself through the internet and without first hand knowledge of your business, found your available services and your guides to be more than outstanding.
I would without reservation or hesitation, whole-heartedly recommend your guides and your business to other like-minded friends and acquaintances. My family and I will most certainly become repeat customers and look forward to rescheduling an even greater adventure next season."
"I wanted to thank you again for such an incredible experience!!! Everybody from our group couldn´t stop talking about how much a part you were in our confidence and our accomplishments. We had a phenomenal time."

"Just a quick note of thanks for such a great service! I had an amazing experience, not only because of the great routes, but also because of Kenton´s outstanding ability as a guide. His pacing and choice of routes allowed us to play around on some great climbs while maintaining enough strength over the trip."

"I just wanted to say thank you guys for a terrific day of climbing Easter weekend. Our guide was very knowledgeable, professional, and made us feel extremely secure and safe throughout the day while also being a lot of fun and laid back."
"We would like to thank you all for one of the best times we have had and for helping us get involved in a great sport. You guys are all great people."
"Many of the students ad never actually climbed on rock, and found the experience challenging. But you made it positive for each of them. Rappelling off the rock face was the highlight for many. The kids will always remember their adventures in the wilds of WV."
"I would like to thank you for teaching me how to rappel. I was a little bit nervous, but your amiable attitude helped me lean over the edge."
"On the Bus ride home from West Virginia I sat next to my mom describing this amazing feeling I have never experienced; before I could tell her that I might want to come back and get my head right and do some real climbing; she said those magical words; "So, when are you packing your bags." Not long after I got back home I took the journey with my new puppy Baxter back to WV living out of a tent for a week climbing with some of the most talented individuals I have ever seen who all gave me the same confident and encouraging feeling that Chad had maybe a month earlier."
